Energy Assessors (Midlands) Ltd. was founded in 2008 and offers the provision of Commercial and Domestic Energy Performance Certificates as well as a full inventory service. We enjoy the benefit of a team of energy assessors who have all been CRB vetted, are fully qualified and insured.

Our company mission is to provide an unbeatable service to estate agents, letting agents, solicitors and housing associations and we only provide the best possible rating for your property.

What is an EPC?
A Certificate rating the energy efficiency of the building on a scale A to G, where A is the most efficient. EPC's also provide an estimate of the building’s CO2 emissions according to its efficiency.

A recommendation report is also produced which gives advice on ways of improving the building efficiency.

EPC’s are valid for ten years from the date of survey.

What does the survey involve?
The buildings fabric, internal measurements, heating and hot water systems, air conditioning, artificial ventilation, lighting, the position and orientation of the building and ventilation.

Who can carry out the Energy Assessment?
Only qualified and accredited energy assessors may carry out the assessment and issue the EPC.

Who is responsible for ensuring the building has an EPC?
In the case of domestic EPC’s the agent / solicitor is responsible for obtaining an EPC before the building can be marketed for sale or rent.

In the case of commercial properties it is the responsibility of the owner to ensure a certificate is obtained before the building can be marketed for sale or rent.
